Songs of Praise – The Priests Special This Sunday

You may remember we told you recently that Songs of Praise would be dedicating a whole programme to The Priests. The special, which airs this Sunday, features in depth interviews with The Priests and performances of tracks from new album Harmony, so it’s not to be missed.

Eamonn Holmes chats to Fr Martin about how he’s settling in to his new parish in Newtownards, where he balances the life of a priest in a busy parish with being an international singing star. Fr Eugene tells Eamonn how his mother inspired his love of music, while Fr David chats about his recent trip to Thailand where he witnessed first-hand the families in the slums of Pattaya who are benefiting from the proceeds of the first Priests album.

‘Songs of Praise’ is at 5pm on BBC1, Sunday 14th March.

I wish there were a way we in the US could see this programme!!  It sounds like it’s going to be a wonderful show.  I expect to read some great reviews in the Forum from all of you folks in the UK!!  Enjoy!!

I watched “Songs of Praise” yesterday and I enjoyed it very much.  I thought it was beautifully well done. It touched me espcially when I saw the bit when Fr. Martin held the baby in his arms and singing to the baby on his/her Christening day.  I was deeply moved when Fr. David was in Thailand to visit the poor people in the slum area.  I think that the Fathers are very affectioned people and they are very geniune.
