Big, BIG congratulations to you, Fr. Martin, and your parishioners on a wonderful rededication at Our Lady of the Visitation! That was wonderful, and all went like clockwork. The music was particularly good. And I loved your big sigh at the close of Mass…(you’re too funny!)
Also, I happened to be still awake at 6:20 this morning (your time) and there was a shaft of golden sunbeam shining down in front of the altar, where the “seal” on the floor is. I believe God has truly blessed this church! Thanks also for acknowledging those of us who joined you on the web. Looking forward to many more lovely services! c.
What a lovely ceremony!! I’ve never seen a church re-dedicated before. Very interesting. Stayed up way past my bedtime to watch but it was well worth it. I got home from work this AM at 0900 (Eastern Daylight Time in the US, 1400 GMT), had a quick bite to eat, and then I became a virtual parishioner at Our Lady of the Visitation. Great pick of music, too. How lucky the parishioners are at their respective parishes to have Father Martin, Father Eugene, and Father David so close at hand. They are truly examples of what the priesthood is and can be. Very inspiring and faith-affirming. Thank you SO much!!
I don’t think I have ever been in your presence, either listening to your music or listening to you speak without shedding a tear and today was no different.
Thank you for the most beautiful ceremony of consecration of your church and for allowing us to be a part of it via the webcam.
It was a truly overwhelming experience ( even virtually ) and I am most grateful to have been a part of it .
You had a long list of people to thank and rightly so , but will we ever be able to thank you oappropriately for all you are doing and giving through your ministry and your singing . You’ll never know how much we are indebted to you, each one of us in a different way .
So thank you again for today, a quite memorable day for all those who took part and attended.
Thank you for a most impressive speech at the end too. It was quite amazing and you rightly deserved all the applause that followed it. Today the ambo was your stage and you performed beautifully . Thank you for still smiling at the end of the day especially after the busy tour you just finished, and for keeping your sense of humour ! And thank you for honouring Fr. Eugene , whom I agree sang the litany so perfectly. It is always so moving to see you two work side by side in such harmony and friendship.
so I can only finish by repeatinga huge thank you from the bottom of my heart . Alix ( Oxford -England )
Congratulations to all at Our Lady of the Visitation for the re-dedication and re-opening of your church. It was a magnificent ceremony from beginning to end. May you have many years of peaceful and hopeful worship ahead of you.
Bishop Noel may come speak at my parish anytime. He was marvelous. Fr Martin, the sincerity of your thank yous to all those who had a part of the refurbishment was most heartfelt. I’m sure you made them feel appreciated and proud as well they should be.
Now it’s time for all of you to replenish the body with nourishment and rest. You all have had a very busy time of it.
Dear Father Martin, Will we ever be able to thank you oappropriately for all you are doing and giving through your ministry and your singing . You’ll never know how much we are indebted to you, each one of us in a different way .
So thank you again for today, a quite memorable day for all those who took part and attended.
FAS: IF WE COULD ‘BOTTLE’ THE PRIESTS WE’D ALL BE MULTI-MILLIONAIRES! WHAT A TONIC THEY ALL ARE! DON’T YOU JUST ALWAYS FEEL SO UPLIFTED BY THEIR SINGING AND THEIR PRESENCE? I’M GLAD TO READ HOW YOU LIKE THEIR HUMOUR TOO - MAKES THEM SEEM MORE IN TOUCH WITH US. SOMETIMES I FEEL AS IF I’M GUSHING, BUT YOU ALL KNOW WHAT WE SAY ABOUT THEIR EFFECT ON PEOPLE REALLY IS THE TRUTH! IT’S PLAIN AND SIMPLE, THEY REALLY DO HAVE THE MIDAS TOUCH. WISH I WAS AT THE PARISH HAVING TEA NOW ALONG WITH THE LUCKY PARISHIONERS!
What more can one say about Fr. Martin and the ceremony which we saw today. He is truly a parish priest who takes great care of his flock. The warmth and sincereness of his voice resounded throughout the church. He is very happy in what he does and it shows.
I could feel it in his thanking all who helped. We are lucky to be part of the FAS. Thank you both Fr Martin and Fr Eugene for including us and welcoming us into your hearts. Hope to meet you both in the near future.(Working on it for next year)
