The Priests perform in Northern Ireland for HM the Queen

The Priests, ahead of their UK shows in June, performed for the first time, last week, in the presence of HM The Queen and Mary McAleese, the President of Ireland.

At the Cooperation North event at Hillsborough Castle on the evening of Thursday 7 May, the three Roman Catholic fathers, known as The Priests performed two songs with a piano accompaniment, ‘Irish Blessing’ and ‘Danny Boy’ (also known as the Londonderry Air).

Father Eugene said “We’re absolutely thrilled to be involved in the Cooperation North event at Hillsborough Castle in the presence of   HM The Queen and her Excellency, The President of Ireland and other invited guests from the art, education, religious and sports world. This underlines our common commitment to peace and reconciliation.”

The Priests will also perform in the presence of HRH the Duchess of Cornwall at the Classical BRIT Awards, taking place at the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow.
