Hello Kristoffer ! I / we wish I could answer your question , but the Priests did go to Norway earlier in the year when their album turned platinum there and were interviewed on Swedish TV.  If you have time you can scan the Database and re- view some of their interviews . Next year schedule hasn’t been announced yet and won’t be for some time ! We’re all in the same boat wondering where “they are going to turn up next ” ! So stay with us to find out .

Thanks for the info ^^ Just bought the “new” album today. My thoughts about that is that the first one was better in my opinion…Pretty weak followup for my part :(

Oh I am sorry to hear that ! you may need to listen to it again to fully appreciate it. It is a more demanding album than the first and a more classical album with less known tunes perhaps. But it is as compelling as the first and for my part I think ” Harmony ” is perfect in the choice of songs, the blend of voices and harmonies . Hope you can give it another go and discover the beauty of it .

Hei Kristoffer! Hyggelig å se en norrman her! Unnskyld min norsk er litt rustig smile jeg trenger ikke å snakke det lengre

I also like the first album better but it’s only because I had already got “attached” to it emotionally. The second one is more homogenous and better produced and also better sung, but still for me the first is and maybe always will be, “numero uno”. Maybe I also like better more variety in the choice of songs as the first album you can listen to whatever your mood while the second one is more serene throughout. No doubt it was a conscious choice, and maybe most like it that way… but I think the albums might as well be as varied as the concerts. But that’s me.

The Swedish interview that I know of was made when the fathers visited Stockholm after the first album, I don’t think Swedes would have bothered to travel to Norway to get another interview. But then again, I may be completely wrong grin
Jeg önsker du triver her, Kristoffer!

Tusen takk for det Minna!

I gotta agree with Minna on this one…but yeah, I might have to listen to it a couple of times before I manage to apriciate it…We well see, we will see ^^

Though one song on the second album really stuns me, that is Benedictus. That is one song to be remembered in my head for a long time!

Pardon me here to add a thought - I only do English - but Kristoffer, if you just went thru it in a row, note there are a good variety of songs of different ‘kinds’ and maybe even you missed 2 short ones that I think are just wonderful - Numbers 5 and 11.  They go by so fast - I have to put them on a ‘repeat’ to really get full enjoyment and listen to them over and over !  Happy listening !  (Are you also looking forward to ALBUM III (already recorded !))

I can certainly agree with you that it gets better and better each time.  I already knew a lot or most of the songs, and the Latin ones also - so that is a help.  The one that they did and that I had been most hoping they would do is Ave Verum - I just love it and had not been hearing a version that did anything for me - but ThePriests’ version DOES !

The selection of songs is varied - but I think that is a good thing, so that they can do something that is bound to really do it for everyone !  So that it is not necessarily meant to be something to listen to all in a row - I definitly find - that is, after the first initial times wanting to hear EVERYTHING !  Like the heavy religious Latin ones - do belong to a time and place of their own.  So with all modern gadgets ! that does make it rather possible to select out a certain list or to replay just one etc .

Perhaps their 4th album will be something to listen right thru - who knows ?!  Or even the 3rd !!  They did that a few weeks ago, and were telling us that they were going to the studio each day - we chatted about it a lot here.  We apparently are getting a Christmas Album !  They did a quick HI video to us from the studio - it is in our TwitVid file - I think of date 12 July.  Have you perused the Twit Vids or Pics ?  (see Treasure Chest)

Kristoffer,

Perhaps you should purchase the DVDs of the Priests.  There are other songs besides sacred religious ones on them that they do.
Also songs not on the CD.  Their performance is wonderful.  You can see some of these in the Database section in the forum.  Here
you can appreciate the work that they have put in to provide us with a great concert.  Keep on listening with your heart and you will come to know the true meaning of their music.
